Mental Health Services

At Steadfast Counseling Services, we provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health services for all ages—children, teens, adults, and older adults. We start with a consultation to schedule a comprehensive clinical assessment, then collaborate with you to create clear, goal-oriented treatment plans. Depending on your needs, we offer individual counseling, couples counseling, family counseling without the client present (to support caregivers and loved ones), family counseling with the client (to strengthen communication and connection), and group counseling for shared learning and support. Our approach is affirming, culturally sensitive, and tailored to meet you exactly where you are.

Consultation

A consultation is a brief, no-pressure conversation to learn what you’re looking for and to see if we’re a good fit. We’ll discuss your goals, scheduling needs, fees, and the types of support we offer. It’s not therapy yet—just a chance to ask questions, get clear on next steps, and decide how you’d like to begin.

Comprehensive Clinical Assessment and Treatment Plan (Intake)

Your intake is a focused, collaborative session where we review your history, strengths, and current concerns, and may include brief screening tools. Together, we define clear goals and create a practical treatment plan that fits your life. For children and teens, caregivers may participate as appropriate. You’ll leave the intake with a shared roadmap for care.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling provides a confidential, judgment-free space to work on anxiety, stress, trauma, mood, life transitions, and more. We tailor evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, solution-focused, trauma-informed care) to your needs and pace. Sessions can be weekly or bi-weekly, via telehealth, and are available for all ages.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling supports partners in improving communication, rebuilding trust, navigating conflict, and strengthening connection. We use practical, research-informed tools (e.g., Gottman- and EFT-informed strategies) in an inclusive, affirming environment. Married, engaged, dating, LGBTQIA+, and non-traditional partnerships are all welcome.

Family Counseling

Family Counseling (without the client)
Sometimes the most effective progress starts with the support system. These caregiver- or family-only sessions focus on education, coaching, and concrete strategies to help you support your loved one—while respecting the client’s privacy and boundaries. We address dynamics, routines, and skills that promote stability at home.

Family Counseling (with the client)
Joint family sessions bring everyone together to practice healthy communication, enhance understanding, and align on goals. We provide structure, safety, and guidance so each person is heard and new skills can be applied in real time. This option can be especially helpful for children, teens, and families navigating life changes.

Group Counseling

Group counseling offers connection, accountability, and skill-building with others facing similar challenges. Groups may be psychoeducational (learn specific tools) or process-oriented (share and practice in community). A brief screening ensures fit and readiness, and we review confidentiality and group guidelines to keep the space safe and respectful.
